  It was a wonderful house for our 3 generations of family. The dining room and kitchen particularly made for meals together special. All of us from the wintry North loved the location and walking the beach. We will return! The only neg was that despite confirming our arrival, the rental agency had to be paged Sunday because the office was closed, once they came they were very nice but we had to locate the house in total darkness. Otherwise it would be a 5-plus.

  I would like to make a couple of comments that are in no way negative, but could make the house even better. there needs to be more light (floor lamps) by the windows in the living area. Also a chair in the bedrooms would be a very nice addition. We found it odd that only one bedroom did not have a TV. Overall we have nothing but feelings of joy at the great week we had at Beachside Retreat. Thank you.

  Every summer our family loves to come to Galveston and just be together,relax cook and talk of family times together. We miss the original beach house that Ike sadly took away. However, Joyce came up with a solution and is always very helpful. The additional bathroom is really helpful, and the convenience of the washer/dryer was nice.I would like to suggest a later check out. I am sure there is a good view of the fact that we have to clean prior to leaving it does seem an easy task for the clean up crew.Also, an earlier check in would be nice. Just a suggestion, we still loved our stay and certainly will return.

• Beachside Retreat--comfortable clean= beautiful house. Only 2 things to improve: a room for 3 or 4 singles would have fit our family better. Also the room on top floor

  Room on top floor was too hot. It needed more cool air, plus it needed a ceiling fan in order to be comfortable. a queen size bed would also have helped to make it more comfortable.
  Also, elevator door on the 2nd floor needed some adjustment. (Just a minor thing. We really enjoyed our stay, and have no complaints about the comfort and location, and views of this house, and hope to stay here again. We apeciated the excellent shape it was in, and have no qualms in recommending it to others.

  Amy our sales agent was more than helpful and courteous. The property with the exception of the elevator which was not working was in great shape. My family was very pleased and we will consider renting again.
